According to their official website, PodoFile uses a subscription model.^[1] Their pricing page lists EUR 17.25 per month plus a one-off EUR 72.50 (excl. VAT); online booking (WebAgenda) costs EUR 13.25 per month for the first staff member plus EUR 7 per extra staff member and a one-off EUR 57, and SMS credits are EUR 0.12 each. There is a 60-day free trial and the subscription can be cancelled monthly. With Salonnare you know exactly what you pay up front, you can start for free and you are never tied in.

Built for the Dutch and Belgian market

Salonnare is NL/BE-first by design. Clients pay natively with iDEAL (through both Stripe Connect and Mollie), Bancontact, SumUp and card, and you use your own Stripe or Mollie account at the standard provider fees, plus Salonnare's own platform fee of 0.5% (min. EUR 0.30) per transaction. The point of sale applies the correct Dutch VAT (21% on services, 9% on retail) and produces an Auditfile export for the Dutch tax authority.

PodoFile is also a Dutch product and therefore available in Dutch. However, it is built around client records, appointments, invoicing and bookkeeping for foot care; their website does not mention iDEAL checkout or VAT audit files for a mix of retail and services. If you want clients to check out online with iDEAL and keep your bookkeeping effortlessly in order, Salonnare has a clear edge there.

Features and ease of use

Salonnare bundles online booking (an embeddable widget on your own website plus a dedicated booking page with your own logo and branding), a calendar per staff member, client records, inventory management, email marketing, recurring memberships (SEPA/iDEAL), gift cards, loyalty, no-show fees and deposits, forms and intake, and a GDPR Art. 9 health-data vault for sensitive health information. A client picks one or more treatments, sees available time slots per staff member and books in a few clicks. The modern interface is designed so that even a trainee is productive within an hour.

PodoFile focuses on patient registration and record keeping for foot care and podiatry. Online self-booking is a separate paid module there (WebAgenda). If you want a complete point of sale, payments, marketing and self-booking in one system, Salonnare covers all of it without extra cost or separate modules.
