A complete salon platform might sound like "too much for a starter", but Salonnare is deliberately kept simple. The modern interface shows your calendar, your clients and today's revenue the moment you open it. No course needed: you create a service, share your booking link and get going. Features you do not need yet, such as inventory, memberships and campaigns, stay out of your way until you switch them on. So you get the simplicity of a basic calendar app, with a growth path to full salon management when you want it. You learn the system on the Free plan and expand as soon as your salon calls for it.
Free, and still the safe choice: GDPR, iDEAL and correct VAT
Many international "free" tools are cheap in exactly the places that matter most in Europe. Salonnare is not. Your client data lives on EU servers, and health notes such as allergies, medication and skin conditions live in a separately encrypted GDPR vault, apart from ordinary notes. Your POS automatically splits 9% VAT on services and 21% on retail and keeps an audit trail that holds up for the tax office. iDEAL is the primary payment method via your own Mollie or Stripe account, so payments land straight in your bank account. Are there transaction fees?
No. You use your own Stripe or Mollie account and only pay the standard provider fees. Salonnare charges no extra margin on payments.
Can I export my data if I leave?
Yes. You can export all your data to CSV at any time - clients, appointments, sales, everything. No lock-in.
Is Salonnare not too much for a starting salon?
No. On the Free plan you only see what you need: your calendar, your booking page, your POS and your clients. Who is Salonnare built for - and when should you choose something else?
Salonnare is built for solo salons, growing salons and small chains, roughly up to about 10 staff and 1 to 3 locations. For that group it is the logical choice on price, EU compliance and ease of use. If you run a large chain with dozens of locations across several countries, class scheduling for group classes or your own IT team, you can deliberately look at an enterprise platform. We would rather say that honestly than have you buy a package that does not fit your scale.
