Account & data deletion
Last updated: 9 May 2026
This page explains how to have your Salonnare data deleted. This right is guaranteed under Art. 17 GDPR (right to erasure) and applies both to salon owners and to customers of a salon who created an account via our public booking site.
What data will be deleted?
On a deletion request we erase: your profile data (name, email, phone), any linked social-login identifiers, your booking history, communication preferences and all audit-log entries attributed to you. Data we are legally obliged to retain (such as invoice data under the 7-year tax retention obligation) is anonymised so it can no longer be traced back to you.
Social login (Google, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook)
If you signed in via a social account, we only store a reference ID and your email address. We have no access to your social profile, photos or friends. On deletion the link to your social account is removed immediately; your social account itself remains untouched and must be managed via that provider.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to [email protected] from the email address linked to your account.
- Subject: "Deletion request (Art. 17 GDPR)".
- Mention in the email: your full name, account type (salon owner or customer), and the name of the salon if you are a customer.
- For extra certainty you may attach a copy of an ID document (mask SSN/photo) - not mandatory but speeds up verification.
Response time and confirmation
We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in accordance with Art. 12(3) GDPR. For complex requests we may extend this period by 2 months provided we inform you with reasons. You will receive an email confirmation upon completion.
Legal exceptions
Certain data cannot be deleted immediately due to legal obligations: invoice data and VAT records are kept for 7 years (Art. 52 Dutch General Tax Act). Audit logs for security incidents may be kept up to 12 months to protect other users (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Such records are anonymised so they can no longer be traced back to you.
Questions or complaints
Questions about your deletion request, or unhappy with how it was handled? Contact us via [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
